biography
Born in 1979 in Ralwalpindi, Pakistan, Sara Farid is an artist-photographer and a journalist. She collaborates with national and international publications (Le Monde, The New York Times, AFP, Reuters and The Guardian) and exhibits in Pakistan as well as internationally. She is dedicated to women and marginalized communities. She was forced to flee Pakistan in 2018 and found asylum in France. She presented her work at the Cité Internationale des Arts – Site of Montmartre (festival Visions of Exile 2018), the Villa Rose (Wize women), the Pavillon Carré de Baudouin (festival Visions of Exile 2020), creates a photo report for the Foundation Camargo and the Halte Humanitaire, participates to an evening around censure at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
