biography

Born in 1987 in Bouchehr, Iran, Rezvan Zahedi is a photographer. After graduating from high school, she became completely dedicated to photojournalism and specialized in graffiti photography. In 2013 she organized a clandestine exhibition of her work in her country because of the political inclinations of the images. She arrived in France in 2015, and participated to the exhibition “Hip-Hop: from the Bronx to the Arabic streets” at the Institut du Monde Arabe, where she presented photographs discussing the role of graffiti and the artistic freedom in countries that are under an Islamist regime. Then, she worked as a photographer for the Musée & Jardins Cécile Sabourdy at Vicq-sur-Breuilh, participated in different exhibitions (Villa Rose in Paris…) and animates calligraphy workshops.
