Safoora Cheriki

Born in 1990 in Gachsaran, Iran, Safora Cheriki is a writer and poet. After completing a master’s degree in journalism at the University of Tehran, she worked as a writer and content specialist in Iran. Her first book in Farsi, Elephants in the Mid Summer Rain of Tehran, a fiction, was well received. She is pursuing a master’s degree in communication at Inalco, while working on a new book, devoted to the situation of refugee women in Europe, based on testimonies. She is a member of the Atelier des artistes en exil.
