biography
Born in 1986, Olexandr Pinchuk is a Ukrainian artist working at the intersection of contemporary art, design and visual storytelling. His practice encompasses a wide range of media: painting, installations, animation and wearable art objects. In his projects, Pinchuk explores themes of memory, identity and collective experience, using visual language as a tool for dialogue between the intimate and the social. Pinchuk combines aesthetics and concept, creating objects that don’t just decorate, but engage in a subtle visual dialogue with the viewer, becoming a medium between the inner and outer worlds. His work has been shown in exhibitions in Ukraine, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, the UK and Russia. Recent projects include PAD Paris, Collectible Brussels, PAN Amsterdam, and the solo exhibition Iron & Canvas at Mia Karlova Galerie (Amsterdam). His animated film The Vault has been nominated and awarded at several international festivals. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
