biography
Born in 1983 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Yacob Bizuneh is a multidisciplinary artist (video, painting, installation, performance). He graduated in 2013 with a BFA with distinction, majoring in painting from Addis Ababa, Alle School of Fine Arts and Design. He taught at Alle School of Fine Arts and Design, Addis Ababa University until his departure to France in 2017.
Since his first personal works, Yacob Bizuneh has continued to explore the social, economic and political context and their consequences on human well-being in the countries he has visited. He exhibits in France and internationally. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
