Born in 1995 in Yangon, Myanmar, Richie Nath is a queer artist, illustrator and painter. He was raised in Myanmar but spent a great part of his youth as a student in England. He graduated in fashion illustration from the London College of Fashion. Focusing his work on the human figure, he works on the themes of identity and politics by relying on his own youth experience in a conservative society. He arrived in France in 2021 and was welcomed in a residency in the Centre Les Récollets in Paris. He exhibits in Myanmar, Singapore, France (Place du Palais Royal – Photoclimat Biennale, Magasins généraux – festival Visions d’exil), and the USA (Aicon Contemporary Gallery, Art Basel Miami Beach). He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
