Lutangu Wamba Carlos

Born in 1990 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Carlos Lutangu Wamba graduated from the Kinshasa Institute and Academy of Fine Arts. As a sculptor, he works with a wide array of mediums. In Kinshasa, he has exhibited in public spaces, at the Academy of Fine Arts, the Espace Polidor and Espace Evolué. Carlos is an activist who took part in counter-government protests and was arrested in 2016. After escaping from prison, he reached France in 2017. He exhibited in the showcases of the Ministry of Culture, at the Cité internationale des Arts at the Montmartre site (2018 Festival Visions of Exile), and at the Palace in Montataire.
