biography
Born in 1979 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, Dmitrii Lordatii, known as Naum Bleek, is a poet and hip-hop artist. He studied journalism at Ural State University. He is part of the rap group EK-Playaz with whom he recorded 5 albums, before releasing his first solo album Re-poètes, which sets classics of Russian poetry to rap and gave rise to a stage performance. He performs accompanied by the jazz trio Denis Galushko. He speaks out against corruption, injustice, and the lack of freedom, and published a book of poetry I Am a Cat.
In 2021, he released simultaneously the album and poetry collection Adverb. He co-wrote the libretto and took part in the children’s dance performance The Little Humpbacked Horse by Vyacheslav Samodurov. Opposed to his country’s invasion of Ukraine, he took refuge in France and became a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile. He performs at concerts and poetry readings (Rumeurs Urbaines Festival, Visions d’exil Festival, Théâtre des Malassis in Bagnolet, etc.).
