Born in 1984 in Moscow, Russia, Danila Kuznetsov (stage name Daniel Le Fèvre) is a director, editor, and production coordinator. He graduated from the Higher Courses in Screenwriting and Directing in Moscow in 2013 and worked in Russian television as a director and editor of documentaries. He has shot educational and corporate videos on a freelance basis, as well as fiction films: La Madone du maréchal Koniev. L’amour sur la ligne de feu, 2009; Les frères Vaïner: et il n’y avait pas de meilleur frère, 2010; L’ange trompettant, 2011; Effet d’Altshuler, 2012 (Best Documentary Award at the Moscow International Children’s Film Festival MICFF); 2012 (Best Directing Award at MICFF); Mira – une fille du commandant de l’armée Ouborevitch, 2013; Les rêves de Vladimir Bogdanov, 2015 (Best Editing Award at the Mumbai International Short Film Festival); L’histoire du cinéma en 10 films, 2019; La plus longue nuit, 2019. Recipient of a grant from the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.

In 2020, he settled in France to pursue a master’s in Film Theory at Université Paris 8. He works as an independent director and editor and gives lectures on film history. In 2022, he directed Le cinéma à travers les yeux des réalisateurs: la montée des légendes, a series of 18 feature-length documentaries. He has been a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile since 2024.
