biography

Born in 1984 in the USSR, Rodion Kitaev is a visual artist. He graduated from Ivan Fedorov State University in graphic arts and the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art. He creates paintings, illustrations and textiles. He presents his solo work in St. Petersburg at the Pushkinskaya-10 Art Center (I Regret Not Being a Beast, 2021), at the Printers’ Union Bookshop (Builder of Red, 2021); in Moscow at Make Culture (Island Full of Sounds, 2019) and at the Argunovskaya Media Center (Quiet Week at Home, 2021). He takes part in numerous group exhibitions in Russia. Winner of the Collège de France’s Pause program, he will be in residence at the Centre d’art contemporain – la Synagogue de Delme in 2022. He is a member of  the agency of artists in exile.
