biography

Born in 1984 in the USSR, Rodion Kitaev is a visual artist. He graduated from the Ivan Fedorov State University in Graphic Arts and the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art. He creates paintings, illustrations and textiles creations. He presents his solo work in St Petersburg at the Pushkinskaya-10 Art Centre (I regret not being a beast, 2021), at the Printers’ Union bookshop (Builder of red, 2021); in Moscow at Make Culture (The island full of sounds, 2019) and at the Argunovskaya Media centre (Quiet week at home, 2021). He has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in Russia. Awarded by the Collège de France’s PAUSE programme, he did a residence at the Centre d’Art Contemporain – la Synagogue de Delme in 2022. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
