biography

Born in 1984 in the USSR, Rodion Kitaev is a visual artist. He graduated from the Ivan Fedorov State University in graphic arts and from the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art. He creates paintings, illustrations and textile creations. He presented his solo work in 2021 in St. Petersburg: “I regret not being a beast” at the Pushkinskaya-10 Art Center, “Builder of the red” at the Union of Printers bookstore; Moscow in 2019 and 2021: “Island full of sounds” at Make Culture and “Quiet week at home” at the Argunovskaya media center. He participates in numerous group exhibitions in Russia. Winner of the Pause program of the Collège de France, he is welcomed in residence at the contemporary art center – the Synagogue of Delme in 2022. He is a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil.
