Issarti Ali

Born in 1967 in Aferkat, Morocco, Ali Issarti is a Sahrawi singer, composer, and musician. He started singing from an early age; he taught himself guitar and became a professional in 1983 with his music group Ahel-Ettarab. He gave concerts at the community youth club and arts center in his neighborhood and in North Africa during festivals and weddings. When he arrived in France in 2016, he gave multiple concerts, many with Claude Mangan to advocate for her husband, who was forcibly detained in their home country. He has been a member of the agency of artists in exile since 2021.
