biography
Born on January 28, 1981, in Kaliningrad, Russia, Dmitry Raspopov is an artist who explores the issues of individual identity under the influence of social and political pressure. A graduate of Fine Arts from the Moscow Academy of Arts in 2009, he began his artistic practice in 2018, focusing on painting and graphic design. He has exhibited in prestigious galleries, such as Cosmoscow (2022) and Vasy! at Carbone 17 (2023), and participated in a residency at Erring Office in 2021. His work, both abstract and engaged, questions the tensions between the individual and society. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
