Born in 1993 in Dnipro, Ukraine, Anna Kovalenko is a painter. She works mainly with oil paint and ceramics. A member of the National Union of Painters of Ukraine since 2019, she is a graduate of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture and received a gold medal in 2018 for her work The Great Flood. From 2015 to 2018, she participated in the creation of St. Michael’s Cathedral murals in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. In 2024, she left her country for an artistic residency in Japan at Takeo, Arts Itoya and in India at Khajuraho, The Last Ship Art of Residency to carry out her artistic research in painting and sculpture. She took part in a self-expression workshop that lead to the production of a short film in which she plays the lead role in Ils m’ont appris à voir les anges partie I : Anna, directed by Axelle Vinassac.
