Adel Al Taweel

Born in 1995 in the Al-Nuseirat camp in Gaza. Adel Al Taweel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Institute of Fine Arts at Al-Aqsa University, Gaza. He is a member of the Union of Palestinian Artists. He arrived in France in 2024 and currently lives in Paris.

The artist is interested in humanitarian and societal issues. His practice draws on archives and memory to document the past, the present, and everyday life amid war. He uses various media to address societal questions, particularly that of Palestinian identity and refugee camps.

He creates drawing and prints, sculpture, and installation to tackle current events. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions locally and internationally, and has taken part in various international research seminars and workshops, notably with artists Nicolás Combarro and Hakim Juman. He is a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile.
