biography

Born in 1987 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Artyom Go is a visual artist and video maker. He is a graduate of the St. Petersburg State Institute and the Rodchenko Art School in Moscow. He works at the intersection of video art and experimental cinema, while also taking an interest in more classical media such as painting, photography and installation. By mixing these art forms, resulting in digital collages, the artist creates a new, sensitive reality. Using digital collages and linguistic techniques from Youtube culture, his work focuses on the impression of “hyper-reality”, in which the world and its characters seem neither artificial nor authentic. His work is presented at the Museum of Multimedia Art and the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow. He is also taking part in the 2021 Northern Biennial of the Komi National Museum in Syktyvkar. He is a member of the Artists in Exile Agency.
