    biography

    Born in 1998 in Lipetsk, Russia, Sonia Andrews is a visual artist. A graduate of the British Higher School of Art and Design in 2020 and the Joseph Bakshtein Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow in 2022, she works with installation, ceramics, painting and silkscreen. Themes central to her practice include the environment, manual labor, social and political interaction, and deconstruction, chance and transformation. She took part in the RITUELS exhibition at POUSH as part of the vision d’exil festival in 2023. Arriving in France in 2023, she is a member of l’atelier des artistes en exil.
