biography

Born in 1961 in Kiev, Ukraine, Oksana Chepelyk is a researcher and multimedia artist (video, performance, photography, installation, painting). After studying architecture in Kiev and Moscow, she pursued postdoctoral programs at the Banff Centre (Canada), Bauhaus (Germany), and completed a Fulbright research program at UCLA (USA). Her works have been exhibited in prestigious institutions worldwide, including MoMA (New York), ART FAIR (Stockholm), MCA (Zagreb), and ISEA 2000 (Paris). She has been a researcher since 2003 and is currently in residence at IMéRA. In 2022, she was featured at the FRAC PACA, the Manifesta Biennial in Prishtina, Kosovo, and was a laureate at the ARS Ars Electronica in Linz, Australia. Oksana Chepelyk has been in France since late 2021 and is a member of the Atelier des Artistes en Exil.
