biography
Born in 1992 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, Loick Ngoukou is a dancer. After training with Frank Bakekolo, Florent Mahoukou, Byb Chanel, and Amara Tabor, he joined Boris Ganga Bouetoumoussa’s company Bô Zu di Katiopa in 2009 (Port du casque obligatoire). In 2011, he created and performed the piece Ni ceci, ni cela, presented at the Institut Français in Brazzaville. Alongside Fanny Roselyne Mabondzo Ngamba (Hier d’Aujourd’hui), he took part in the 9th Danse Afrique Danse Biennale in South Africa. In 2013, he joined the École des Sables and completed the À corps – accord training program.
He came to France for Africa2020 with the Ateliers Sahm (Kid Dynamite) at Montévidéo in Marseille, and decided to stay. Since 2022, he has been performing improvised dance in the streets of Paris with the collective Smile. He is a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile and took part in Camping at the Centre National de la Danse in Pantin in 2023. He dances in Step by Step by Arnould Samba.
