biography

Born in 1995 in Krasnoïarsk, Russia, Svetlana Menshaeva finished her high school degree while simultaneously completing her studies in applied arts through college-level courses. Afterward, she studied for two years at the Federal University of Serbia with a focus on metalworks and stonework. She practices painting, sculpture, performance, body art, and has participated in many exhibitions with her award-winning paintings. She came to France in 2017 as a member of “Le program étudiants invités” of the Beaux-Arts de Paris. As an actor she has played in theatre pieces “on comprend rien” of Gaël Chaillat and Ariel Cypel, and “Disparu.e.s” a work by Judith Depaule during the 2019 visions of exile festival. She is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
