Born in 1984 in Medellin, Colombia, Santiago Londoño Montoya is a writer, musician, and actor. In 2008, his poetry book The day’s tour in 25 worlds won the award of The Creation for the Culture of Medellin in the young poets’ category. His years of exile lead him to reconsider the problems of his native country and his family history, which became the topic of his book The scarlet red of the poppy, which won the writer’s residency of the House of Poetry of Amay in Belgium in 2018. It was also presented during the 12th edition of the Maelström Reevolution Festival.
