Haydar Omar

Born in 1995 in Damascus, Syria, Omar Haydar is a guitarist. He has been playing music since the age of 15, experimenting with improvisation and blending genres to express his emotions and memories. He works as an actor and musician on plays that are translated into Arabic and English for cultural projects and the press. He left Syria in 2012 for Lebanon, where he was denied residency. He arrived in France in 2016, participating in projects like Dire l’exil (literary evenings), concerts, and Judith Depaule’s Disparu·es. He is a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile. He plays with the electro-rock group Syromix.
