biography
Born in 1986 in Democratic Republic of Congo, Mass Bintsamu Massamba, a.k.a Mass Basse Bintsamou, is a composer, bass player, arranger and sound engineer. As a self-taught musician, at a very young age, he joined the Lexxus Legal band, with whom he militated for his people and human rights. He also participated in numerous tours in Africa and Europe. Because of the retaliation he received for his activism, he was injured. He tried to continue his musical activities but as a threatened man, he moved to Europe in 2016. In France since January 2019, he is a member of the agency of artists in exile and he has participated in various musical projects. He created the concept Mpeve with Diana La Fraise, concert and EP, created during a residence at art school in Annecy in the framework of the Pause program of the collège de France in 2021.
