biography

Born in eastern Ukraine, Diana Kuzina is a costume designer. In 2014, to escape armed conflict, she moved to Kyiv with her family. Her practice comes from her grandmother, a brilliant seamstress.

A graduate of the Kyiv National Karpenko-Kary University in 2022, she was forced to leave Ukraine because of the war. After settling in Paris, she studied at Sciences Po, then in 2025 began a Stage and Screen Costume Design program at École Duperré. In her work, she develops imaginaries inspired by gothic and fiction literature. With her costumes, Diana Kuzina seeks to provoke a feeling of strangeness and a certain humor in the face of the absurdity of everyday life. She is a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile.
