Thiam Cheikh

Born in 1994 in Guédiawaye, Senegal, Cheikh Thiam is a Senegalese poet and slam artist, member of the Guediawaye Slam collective and founder of the Slam Académie workshops. From a young age, he was already writing, and he discovered slam through Gaël Faye during the Printemps des Poètes in Bangui in 2009. His career began in 2014, performing on Dakar stages to share his love of poetry. His political activism led him to seek exile in France. He is a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile.
