Sivkova Maria

Born in 1992 in Novgorod, Russia, Maria Sivkova is a pianist and a singer specializing in classical and traditional music. She has studied musical theory at Novgorod Art School, and has obtained a bachelor’s degree in folk music at the Gnessine Music Academy. She has continued her master’s degree in ethno-choreography and in ethnomusicology at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. She has enrolled in several Erasmus exchange programs including “Dance Knowledge, Practice, And Heritage” in Londres, and other programs in Hungary and in France. In Russia, she taught dancing and singing, and is an expert in folk music. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile.
