Ataei Samiollah

Born in 1981 in Guduli Naw Rahim Bakh, Ghazni, Afghanistan, Samiollah Ataei is a film director. He studied theater and cinema at Tehran University. In 2017, he relocated to Kabul with his family, where he alternates between commercial productions and cultural projects. He also works as a tailor, photojournalist and teacher-researcher. He has directed several films: Kohan yadgar e sarzamin Azar, Break time 3:45 minutes, Chalipa and founded a Hazara dance folk festival. He has been a member of the Agency of Artists in Exile since 2021.
