Ashurovskaya Natalia

Born in 1989 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Natalia Ashurovskaya is a film director and editor. Graduated in social psychology from St. Petersburg State University in 2012, she first worked as a psychologist with cancer patients and troubled teenagers before moving into film production in 2019, then she was trained in directing at St. Petersburg’s New Cinema School in 2021. She is currently a student at Paris 8, M1, Creation and Directing. She joined forces with Pavel Mikhailov to found the creative organization SURDOC, working on contemporary art clips and videos. In 2024, she directed The City was Sleeping and Dreaming About Us. She joined the Agency of Artists in Exile in 2022.
