Les vitrines
de l’atelier des artistes en exil
The atelier of artists in exile exhibits at the Palais Royal in Paris!
On the occasion of an exceptional event initiated by the Ministry of Culture, fifteen refugee artists from the aa-e will present their work in the galleries Valois of the Palais Royal de Paris.
The access to the exhibition is free until the 15th of june.
“The galleries windows of the atelier of artists in exile, like so many windows on the realities of the world, invite us to open our eyes, to understand the imperative that pushes women, men and children to leave, to choose the exile and its trials, and to understand the distress they can have when they arrive. They displace the vision of exile, putting it into perspective through the prism of art.
Coming from Afghanistan, Iran, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sudan, Syria, the artists are linked to the world of mirrors. Their works explore the intimate depths of dignity and humanity; question the fundamental principles of the right of asylum.”
