biography

Born in 1995 in Latakia, Syria, Bassam Salokha a.k.a Youssef Ismaeel is a musician, composer, singer, and sculptor. At the age of 15 when he used to work as a painter with is brother, he started using the plaster he was using for the walls to create embossed shapes. Then, he took sculpture classes. Afterwards, he studied english at the Tishrin University in Latakia. He arrives in France in 2017 and starts singing and making oriental music with various groups: Demain and Seka. In 2018, he becomes a member of the agency of artists in exile, and teaches sculpture and design during 3 months at the Ensad.
