biography

Born in 1984 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Nasima is a Uyghur singer. With her husband, Azamat Abdurakhmanov, she signed an album entitled Sois mon étoile, and performed in the National Koujamiarov theatre and in Uyghur music shows in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China and Spain. She organised artistic events to make Uyghur culture known. She arrived in France in 2015, and is a member of the agency of artists in exile. She works on the reconstitution of a traditional and contemporary repertory. Also, she collaborated with the visual artist Ève Chabanon and Judith Depaule on the show Disparu·e·s.
