Born in 1980 in Fakobly, Côte d’Ivoire, Perside Selaka is an actress, singer and dancer. She trained with the company Manh Boya in Abidjan (African dance and theater) and performed in tours from 1995 to 2010 (West Africa). She made radio sketches for human rights during the elections in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI project). She fled the war for Mauritania, where she did an internship with the troupe Grupolalarte in Nouakchott. Recognized as a refugee by UNHCR, she arrived in France in 2016.
