Born in 1973 in Brazzaville, Congo, Dominique Nkodia is a afro-contemporary dancer, singer and percussionist. Born into a family of artists, she was introduced to dance and music very young. In 2005, she performed for the first time at the FESPAM, joined various groups and played in numerous festivals in Brazzaville. In 2008, she went on tour in Africa with the Studio Maho, directed by the choreographer Florent Maou. In 2011, following a contract with the Villages of Africa – African Rythms in Russia, she lived one year in Anapa in Russia. She arrived in France in 2017, joined the group Mothers of Congo, participated in the show Kongo of the association Ngoma za kü in Angers and leads workshops of traditional African dances and songs. She is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
