    Born in 1950 in Dashoguz, Turkmenistan, Gurbangeldi Meredow is a painter. He studied at Moscow’s Surikov Art Institute, where he worked as an assistant before settling in Ashgabat and opening his own studio. He has exhibited in the Soviet Union, Turkmenistan, Holland, France  and Iran. His works are in private collections in the USA, Holland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, France and Turkey. He arrived in France in 2018, he is a member of the Agency of artists in exile.
