Born in 1986 in Lutsk, Ukraine, Julia Loboda is an actress, choreographer and director. In the theatre, she has worked with Alisher Khasanov, Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte, Maxim Didenko, and at the Gogol Center in Moscow with Kirill Serebrennikov, Evgeny Kulagin and Ivan Estegneev, Filipp Grigoryan, Filipp Avdeev. She took part in the “Platforma” (Ricci/ Forte company) and “Troubleyn” (Jan Fabre) laboratories. She acted in the Pawnshop series by Dmitri Suvorov, the films Leto by Kirill Serebrennikov and Dreams by Irina Tumanova. She directs the Insubordination and Évolution projects and the Gamma festival in Saint Petersburg. In France since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, she has performed in Wagner’s Lorengrin, directed by Kirill Serebrennikov at the Opéra Bastille. She has been a member of the Atelier des Artistes en Exile since 2023.
