L’enga Kingo Hugor

Born in 1998 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hugor L’enga Kingo is a painter. Since he was a kid, he belonged to a workshop of art in which he took lessons from master Kasongo. Shocked by the violence in his native country, he presented “The slaughter of the innocent” as part of a collective exhibition, which was immediately removed by the authorities. Threatened, he decided to flee and began a two year journey to France, where he arrived in 2020. He became a member of the agency of artists in exile in 2021.
