Born in 1989 in Ulyanovske, Russia, Nastya Kuzmina is a multimedia artist. In 2014, she graduated in “Photography, Sculpture and Video” from the Rodtchenko Art School. In 2016, she participated in the SOTA program of interdisciplinary studies in contemporary dance led by choreographer Dina Khusein at the GARAGE Museum of Contemporary Art. A multidisciplinary artist, since 2013 she has worked mainly with video, installation and performance. Nastya has taken part in numerous collective initiatives, notably at the Electrozavod gallery, run by independent artists. Since 2012, she has taken part in over twenty group exhibitions in Moscow, as well as solo shows and performances in such renowned spaces as Triumph Gallery and the “Moscow Manege” Central Exhibition Hall. She has also received grants from Credit Swiss Moscow (Switzerland), GARAGE Museum of Contemporary Art (Russia) and KulturKontakt (Austria). Fleeing her country after the invasion of Ukraine, she took refuge in France. She is currently in residence at ESADHaR as part of the Collège de France’s PAUSE programme. She is a member of the Artists in Exile Workshop.
