biography

Born in 1988 in Moscow, Kir Esadov grew up into a circus family. At the age of 19, while still a student at a pedagogical college, he developed an interest in photography. After earning a BA in Social Pedagogy from Moscow State Psychological Pedagogical University in 2008, he enrolled at the Rodchenko Art School in 2011. Esadov’s works are held in various private collections across Russia and internationally, as well as in the collection of the Moscow House of Photography. In 2015, he was recognized as one of the fifty most relevant contemporary photographers from Russia and Ukraine by the Dostoevsky Photography Society. He has also been included in the Top-100 emerging artists in Russia by the InArt rating project and was highlighted as a bestseller at the Blazar Contemporary Art Fair in 2022.
