biography

Born in 1980 in Abadan, Iran, Kaveh Kavoosi is a visual artist. He was introduced to art by contemporary Iranian artists. Graduated in 2006 from the University of Arts and Architecture of Yazd in Iran, he taught art and art history in the Research Centre for Iranian Culture and Art and managed the private art institute Art Cube in Iran.  He has exhibited in Iran, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland, Canada and the USA. In 2019 he arrived at the Cité internationale des arts à Paris where he decided to stay. He exhibited at the gallery AREA, at the exhibition Blood for the open doors of the agency of artists in exile (2021); he created a suits and walked for the Carnaval 4,3,2,1, and he exhibited at the garden of the Palais-Royal. He played tanbûr, a traditional iranian instrument, during concerts. He directed workshops of artistic practice. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
