biography

Born in 1993 in the Balkhab district of Afghanistan, Ahmad Imami is a director, cinematographer, actor and producer. He studied film at Kabul University and directed short films (Allahu Akbar, 2-1=0 and Tomorrow). He co-produced the critically acclaimed documentary The Midnight Traveler. He also plays in the TV series Khate Sewom. He has contributed to the promotion of female directors by producing the 5th and 6th editions of the Herat International Women’s Film Festival. A refugee in France since 2021, he is a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil.
