Born in 1992 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Diana La Fraise is a Congolese rumba singer and composer. She grew up in Kingasani, a suburb of Kinshasa, where she performed with various groups and in churches. In 2017, she relocated to France and continued her musical career in Congolese nightclubs. She has notably appeared with the group Mvpévé (focusing on ndombolo and Congolese rumba) at the Mucem in Marseille, Les Subsistances in Lyon, Le Point Fort in Aubervilliers, Dynamo de Banlieues Bleues, and the Swedish Cultural Centre, among other venues. She played in the musical “Affranchies” alongside Judith Depaule, performing at notable locations like the Trianon, La Briqueterie, the Hôtel d’Albret, and La Vieille Charité during the Marseille festival. She is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
