biography

Born in 1995 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, Humayoun Ibrahimi is a musician and composer of traditional afghan music. He started playing tabla, dholak and other percussions when he was a child with his father, who was a music teacher. He played mostly with his brother Haroon Ibrahimi, a rubab player. In 2014, he studied business management in Kabul. In 2017, he left his country, went through Greece where he gave music classes and played with various music groups, and arrived in Paris in 2018. He performed during concerts and festivals, especially in the UNESCO and at the town hall of the 11th district of Paris. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
