Hunarjoo Mustafa

Born in 1997, in Behsud, Afghanistan, Mustafa Yaqobi, known as Mustafa Hunarjoo, studied calligraphy. He learned music in secret and then moved to Kabul to develop his passion until his participation in 2018 in Afghan Star, when he won the 18th edition. He tours in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Iran. He has recorded 8 songs. He was evacuated from Afghanistan to France in August 2022, as part of the Apagan operation. He is a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil. He performed in the festival Visions d’exil 2022 at the Magasins généraux in Pantin. He is welcomed in residence at the Centre Les Récollets.
