biography

Born in 1980 in Damascus, Palestinian from Syria, Homam Haddad writes. A graduate in sociology from the University of Damascus, he is a journalist at the Center for Media and Freedom of Expression and for Baladna magazine. Political prisoner from 2005 to 2007, he joined in 2011 the Local Coordinating Committee of the opposition and the peaceful revolution in Damascus and in 2012 the Syrian National Council. He works for Euro Med Rights in Turkey. In France in 2012, he studied sociology at EHESS and develops writing projects.
