biography
Born in 1984 in Togliatti, Russia, Valentina is a director and editor. She studied cinematography and directing at the School of New Cinema in Moscow before participating in the creation of the Mono-cinema project dedicated to independent Russian cinema in 2020. Her films are presented and awarded by international festivals, such as Body’s Memory in 2015 in Thessaloniki or Never-Ending Conversation in 2017 at FID Marseille. Film represents for her a transcendental experience, at the intersection between the political and the religious. She arrived in France in 2022 and has been a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil since 2023.
