Myo Thaw

Born in Yangon, Myanmar, in 1987, Myo Thaw is a photographer and director. With a degree in broadcast TV, he first worked as a video engineer for MRTV-4 and Channel 7, then set up his own company and worked as a freelance director of photography on clips, commercials, photo shoots and short films. From 2015, he focuses on street photography. His work is shown in group exhibitions including Sceaux in France in 2021, Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Machya Ningli Art Gallery in Kachin, Myanmar, and Hôtel de Ville de Paris as part of the Avec toi Myanmar exhibition in 2022. He takes part in the Doh Ayay! exhibition presented by aa-e at POUSH in 2023. He presents his solo exhibition Myanmar Spring at the European Parliament in Brussels in 2022. In France since 2021, he is a member of the agency of artists in exile.
