Born in 1988 in Novosibirsk, USSR, Nadya Mira is an artist-author and director of animated films. She studied at the oldest film school in Moscow (VGIK), at the Ecole des Gobelins in Paris and also at the California Institute of the Arts near Los Angeles. Today, she works with both well-known and new directors, especially on the development of feature films for the general public. Nadya also creates animated series. She directed the visuals for a Christmas film for BBC One, based on Roald Dahl’s One Tale May Hide Another. In 2018, Nadya is developing the animated series The Adventures of Paddington. Most recently, she created the characters for the feature film Migration, scheduled for release in 2023. Currently, she is working on the independent feature film Les Oiseaux de Porcelain for Miyu Productions and the featurette Papa et Moi for France Télévisions. Nadya has lived and worked in Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, London, Denmark and South Africa. She has resided in Marseille since 2017 and has been a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil since January 2022.
