biography
Born in 1988 in Novosibirsk, USSR, Nadya Mira is a writer, director and animator. She studied at the oldest film school in Moscow, then at the Gobelins school in Paris and at CalArts (California Institute of the Arts) near Los Angeles. She works on the development of feature films for the general public and creates animation series. She directed the visuals for a Christmas film for BBC One, based on Roald Dahl’s A Tale Can Hide Another. In 2018, Nadya worked on the cartoon The Adventures of Paddington. Most recently, she directed the characters for the feature film Migration, scheduled for release in 2023. She is currently working on the independent feature film The Birds of Porcelain by Miyu Productions and on the featurette Daddy and Me. She has resided in Marseille since 2017 and has been a member of l’Atelier des artistes en exil since January 2021.
