Born in 1985 in Masyaf, Syria, Dawwa graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Damascus with a focus in sculpture. Dawwa presented his works at his school and at the French Cultural Center of Damascus. In early 2011, he actively participated in the creation and implementation of the Al Boustan workshop, which forced him to flee to Lebanon in 2013, where he lived clandestinely for one year. He continued to create and promote his art via his Facebook page, “Clay & Knife”. At the end of 2014, he claimed asylum in France and started working again publicly.
