biography

Born in 1973 in Daara, Syria, Mahmoud Alshara is a director and photographer. After graduating from Damascus University in electrical engineering, he studied photography and filmmaking at the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the Goethe Institute. He is a director for concerts and cultural programs for Syrian TV, Syria Ashab, and Orient TV.
He arrived in France in 2014 after spending 18 months in Jordan. He is a member of the agency of artists in exile. He photographed the city and cultural events, working on artistic themes. Since 2017 he has participated in several collective exhibitions in Reims and individual exhibitions in the framework of the H2O festival and the Moulin de culture gallery in Reims.
